Parent Governor Vacancy
PARENT GOVERNOR VACANCY
The Governing Body of Park View has one vacancy for a Parent Governor and is looking for parents or guardians who are interested in this role, and who have at least one child at the school.
Governing Bodies are responsible for a wide range of matters at the school which they govern. Their duties include management of the school budget and involvement in a variety of personnel and pupil issues. In your role as a school governor you will be supported in these duties by other experienced members of the Governing Body, the Head Teacher, and the Clerk to the Governors. Training for new and existing governors is provided through Haringey Governors Support and Training Unit.
The Governing Body works together as a group, meeting twice each term. In addition, committees for Teaching & Learning, Attainment and Finance, Staffing & Resources also meet at least once per term. As a Parent Governor, you will normally hold office for a period of four years even if your child leaves the school during this time. You can, however resign from the Governing Body at any time.
