On Thursday 15th December we welcomed Chestnuts, Seven Sisters and West Green Primary School to our end of term Primary School Christmas Showcase. Prior to the event the primary schools took part in a three-week dance and music workshop facilitated by Step into Dance tutor - Cynthia Lacordelle and our Park View staff, Head of Dance - Ms Malcolm and Head of Music - Ms Williams.

On the day, an audience of over 250 students from Years 5 to 10 were blown away by an array of wonderful performances from both Park View and primary school students. The Year 7 Drama Club, directed by Head of Drama – Ms Darnell, were incredibly dedicated throughout the winter term by attending lunchtime rehearsals for their production of Grimm’s Tales.  Their incredibly high quality performance was a highlight of the show.

Other highlights included a wonderful contemporary piece performed by our Year 10 GCSE Dance group, beautiful carol singing by Chestnuts, Seven Sisters and West Green Primary schools along with the fantastic work that they created during their dance workshops.

After the showcase the performers were treated to a superb display of festive treats prepared by our very own Wilson Jones catering company.

The festive fun continued at lunchtime where our students turned up in their hundreds to support the primary schools and Park View performers once again in our lunchtime reprise.

It was a spectacular day, filled with festive celebrations which truly reflected the heart and warmth of Park View's community.
