Parkstock, a day of celebrating diversity at Park View: our regular summer theme day, all students experiencing a carousel cornucopia of international activities.
The teachers prepared an exciting range of creative activities, such as lobster fishing in the Cayman Islands; creating volcanoes; becoming macaws; making lahmacans; building the Parthenon; learning to dance the St Lucian quadrille; making carnival headdresses; practicing new languages; making cowboy hats; making Guatemalan worry dolls; Mexican Day of the Dead masks,: exploring African history in an interactive quiz; making buffalo heads; modelling Easter island Maoi making and telling aboriginal folk tales…to name a few.
A wonderful day, where the students loved taking part in practical and varied activities, whilst broadening their knowledge and understanding of world cultures.
