Park View School were in full support of The Great Get Together campaign this year, in memory of the wonderful work by former MP Jo Cox, who was sadly killed last year.

Year 7 students took part in a number of activities to celebrate the ‘togetherness’ of their year group. An inspiring assembly led by Mr Smart highlighted the amazing work Jo Cox was involved in and how important it was to be part of a community. Students worked in form groups to create a ‘What we love about PV’ banner where they were able to emphasise all the wonderful things that make Park View a special school.

In the afternoon, students took part in an exciting sports festival. Students competed in races such as the egg and spoon race, sack race, beanbag race and the 60m sprint. Form classes cheered on their fellow team mates to victory while being entertained by the school’s talented music band.

The cohort really highlighted the true meaning of teamwork and team spirit and genuinely made Park View’s The Great Get Together event, a fantastic celebration.

A huge well done to all the staff and students who took part and especially to Ms Keen’s form class 7P who were The Great Get Together champions!
