Wreath making for Remembrance Day
4th December 2017
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the battle of Passchendaele, which took place during the First World War.
History students from 7E took part in a lesson to remember soldiers from Tottenham who died at Passchendaele including Harry Bedford, one of the men named on the WW1 memorial on West Green Road.
Their teacher, Mr Lyndon had been working with an organisation called The Big Ideas Company who provided some funding to enable the students to create floral wreaths.
Flowers and foliage were supplied by Thelma’s florist on Phillip Lane and the students had a fantastic time cutting and arranging them around the wreaths.
A small number of students were then chosen to take the wreaths to the war memorial outside the school to pay their respects.
