Park View celebrated Science Week during March 14th - 18th this year with a real focus on scientific enquiry and application skills.
Students participated in projects involving searching for signs of life on Mars, investigating the forces of flight and looking at enzyme activity using food chemistry.
Students really enjoyed using microscopes to search for microorganisms, building card helicopters/planes to test their designs and measuring the amount of carbohydrates present in different types of milk.
Our Science teachers also led lunchtime sessions to really capture and thrill the minds of our students.
Workshops included eye dissections, making lip balm, whiz bang chemistry, making slime and even looking at the life cycle of chicks hatching within our very own Science faculty!
Many students attended and all thoroughly enjoyed these experiences. Well done to our amazing Science teachers for their hard work, creativity and dedication to bring Science to life for our students in Science Week!
