A farewell to the Class of 2019
23rd May 2019
On 23rd May, Year 11 had their leavers’ assembly. We wanted it to be our best one yet and end the year on a high. With the fantastic organisation, running order and surprise moments from our Head of Year - Mr Truppin, we certainly pulled off a great job!
We played our traditional assembly games as well as a video message from former teaches wishing the year group the best of luck.
Looking back on pictures and videos from when they first started back in 2014 brought back a lot of nostalgia especially seeing the young adults they have become. We will never forget Pharrell’s Karaoke to Stand By Me, which had the whole year group join in and sing along with him.
There were also songs and heart-felt speeches from all Year 11 staff. This brought many tears of joy and sadness to both students and staff as the reality hit all of us that this would be one of the last times we would all be together as a year group. We acknowledged the great friendships that we have made with each other over the last five years and how we have all helped one another through our Park View journey, not just as a year group but as a family.
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Good luck Class Of 2019!
