Robogals Challenge at Imperial College
24th March 2020

A group of talented Year 9 girls attended the Robogals workshop at Imperial College London. The session was aimed at empowering young and talented females into more STEM related careers.
Students received a tour of the campus and were taught how to code using very specific software to control and send commands to their robots.
Fundamental principles of coding, software and electrical engineering were discussed and our students really enjoyed competing against other groups in a sumo style battle. Robots were coded to recognise each other and the boundaries of the arena but had to push rival robots out.
Well done to our winning group and to all our well built and coded robots, this experience has certainly created a lasting memory of STEM careers and that they are definitely open to anyone who wishes to pursue them.
