The Big Bang at Park View
National Science week runs for ten days from 10th-19th of March and is a celebration of all things science, technology and engineering. At Park View, they have been celebrating Science Week with pride! During lunchtime there have been a range of activities to do on the science floor such as making lava lamps, slime, big bang explosions and many more fun-packed experiments.
This has given students the opportunities to explore how to make different things and understand the science behind everyday objects. If students want to try things at home but don’t have the equipment, they can come into any club and do what they want for free. Teachers have organised this to engage students in a variety of activities, have fun and witness new things. Ms Selman claimed “we need to celebrate science, especially female scientists who make people more aware what they can achieve if they carry on studying”. It is hoped that students have been excited by the new things they have learnt and can share with their siblings.
